Craig Regio

Craig graduated from Columbia University School of Law and also has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston University. His practice area includes commercial contracts with a particular emphasis on commercial leasing, service contracts, and technology licensing. While he has largely worked in-house with national and multi-national companies, his focus is on Financial, Estate, Insurance and Tax Law with an emphasis on Risk Management.

Among the legal services that Craig handles is a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships/collaborations, licensing arrangements, private placement/private equity, and venture/early-stage financings. After years of practicing law at one of New York’s oldest and largest law firms and as corporate counsel for a Fortune 100 corporation, Craig decided to translate his experiences into a more personalized, one‐on‐one service for his upscale clients. Craig sits on the board of 4 emerging tech companies in the artificial intelligence and augmented reality space.

Biography:

After graduating cum laude from Boston University with a degree in international affairs, Mr. Regio earned his law degree from Columbia Law School. He is admitted to practice in all New York state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Regio served as special counsel to the New York State Senate Finance Committee. The experience gave him a valuable perspective on business regulations, regulatory agencies and administrative hearings. A skilled litigator, Mr. Regio nonetheless tries to resolve as many disputes as possible through negotiation.

Mr. Regio is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Columbian Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He also belongs to the Brooklyn Bar Association and serves on the Board of Trustee.

Mr. Regio also devotes a portion of his time to volunteer and pro bono activities. Among the other pro bono activities, he belongs to the Brooklyn Volunteer Lawyers Project, volunteering his time to those in need of bankruptcy or foreclosure advice. Mr. Regio is also a member of the Grievance Committee for the 2nd, Judicial Department.
